Hello Friends!
I do wonder if I need to switch up my blogging routine because after 3 days of work, it’s always a struggle to return to the previous week & the headspace I kept throughout. Thank goodness for diaries! Yet, even a glance through last week doesn’t speak of anything too thrilling – just me chipping away at a couple of commissions, some web re-design & the creation of a business plan. The latter was necessary and I was really pleased to have created a game plan for the next few months! Only problem is, I’m just not feeling it today.
In fact, all I want right now, is to be a mashup of Taylor Swift & Dua Lipa. hee hee hee. I’m clearly in the mood for glamour, hard work, collaborations, fun, and you know, being incredibly successful & respected. A world away. ;p Granted, I have little ambition to become a musician – as cool as that may be – but heck, I just absolutely love these women and find them incredibly inspirational. One can only dream of being as driven as these two, and as beautifully dressed. sigh. I’m not sure how to use this desire to motivate my work this week but it’s clear I need to get it out of my system.
This morning’s drawing deeply lacked care, as the results below attest. Even so, whilst I may not have been in the mood for this idea today, the worthiness of the #MondayMerger was highlighted yet again by twigging a concept I’d actually like to return to…. just closer to Christmas.

AGAIN, we ended up with an animal, but I was in no mood for that so chose to highlight the festivity of the second image. I also cheated a little because the illustration of the lady was pinched from a sketch I did two years ago for a pair of Christmas earrings.

You’ll likely be pleased that I am keeping today’s post short, what with the lack of motivation for my typical routine. However, I did want to include a sneaky screenshot of a sticker sketch I’m working on – a small commission for a client. :)
