Why Stickers?
Growing up, I was the proud owner of a Sticker Collection.
Sure, half the stickers were stuck rather stubbornly to the plastic sleeves of my display folder, rendering them problematic for trade & use. And certainly one could argue variety was lacking – devotedly favouring Winnie the Pooh, Harry Potter and … bejewelled dolphins. (What can I say? It was the noughties.)

Nonetheless, I was considerably please with my collection and spent many afternoons bargaining with my sister and friends, swapping stickers back and forth. Or at the least, talking about making deals. Truth be told, I had a difficult time letting go.
Years have passed since my beloved collection was boxed away with the remnants of my childhood and yet, even as a grown adult, I have been known to suggest the reward of a sticker for a job well-done. (A job well-executed by myself, that is. Not for some ‘well-deserving child’, who, let’s be honest, wouldn’t have deserved it half-so-much anyway.)

Now, with my 30th birthday on the not-so-distant horizon, I have ultimately reached the respectable age to craft my very own stickers. Careful years of planning, designing and cutting has finally come to fruition, my life long ambition, realised at last. It ABSOLUTELY wasn’t a sudden and impulsive idea that sprang to mind about five weeks ago…
Either way, welcome to the club!
I’ll be delivering up big, (& small), bright and bold stickers! Stickers guaranteed* to see you becoming the friend that can offer up the most desirable trades… or perhaps more reasonably, simply the friend who has the jazziest laptop or the most fetching diary. The world could use a little cheer, so I say go wild, let’s not get too precious about these things.
I am genuinely excited that you are here! Let’s hope I can tempt you to purchase some shiny pieces of sticky paper.

So, it’s clear you like stickers, but I have no idea who you are?
My name is Fiona, I’m 29 and for the last two years I have lived in Castlemaine, Victoria. I’m a pretty typical dabbler, in the sense that I’ve tried my hands at many mediums over the years, but digital illustration has become my go-to since purchasing an iPad in late 2021. This is one of the first times I’ve properly attempted to sell my work, but I figured you’re never too old to give it a shot.
What do you use to illustrate & create your stickers?
As mentioned above, my iPad Pro 11″ (3rd generation). I use Procreate for all the illustration work and the brush packs: True Grit – The Rusty Nib & Chromograph and Retro Max Pack.
I use a Cameo 4 Silhouette to cut my stickers. My Printer, for now, is just a Canon MG5700.
Why Friend of Note?
Originally, I was thinking of creating a letter mail subscription and felt Friend of Note implied you were a friend that was special enough to receive a note in the mail.
This rather quickly transitioned into the idea of stickers, but the name stuck because, quite honestly, I just couldn’t be bothered redrawing the logo.
Why do you only sell through Etsy?
I’m starting here because even though Etsy takes a small cut of the sale, for now it’s a less costly bet than an e-commerce web package. I may upgrade as time progresses, it will depend on the level of interest! So don’t forget to spread the word. :P
