Hello Friends!
This post was almost forgotten amid some very last-minute work, due tomorrow! When I say ‘work’, I mean a set of place cards I’ve been making for one of my best friend’s 30th birthday dinner party. I finished the cards last week, but due to some solid procrastination, I only just worked out the packaging tonight & have been scrambling to get that done – hence the delay in my usual Monday activities! (I’ll share these next week as the design is a surprise.)
Considering that I still have a number of other tasks to attend to before tomorrow, I will keep this very short! Even though I feel I have so much to share!! Alas, it will just have to wait. I did, however, create a #MondayMerger which I was VERY pleased with. I was dealt a photo of a very funky ice-cream on a stick and I immediately thought it would make a perfect cake illustration. I was delighted with the pairing of this very cute Sabrina Carpenter outfit – it was the perfect aesthetic for such a cake. I took extra care with this drawing because I plan on turning it into a gift tag/card to sell in my store. ;)

Taking a brief break!
Due to other commitments, I won’t have much time to work on Friend of Note this week, & admittedly I was feeling a bit worried about this. Let’s quickly clarify that concern- there isn’t a fear of falling behind on orders! lol. That would be an amazing feeling. It’s the notion that I need to consistently work on creating content if I am ever going to build momentum. Momentum which is currently non-existent. For example; last week I soft-launched my YouTube channel, shared in an exclusive blog post last Tuesday. Ideally, I would have followed that up with a full-length video this week. It’s just not going to happen. Hopefully, next week I can work efficiently to ensure it’s ready to go on Thursday.
Recommendations!
I’ve been listening to, (and LOVING), Taylor Swift’s Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) bonus tracks & Kesha’s album Gag Order. I’ve been watching a lot of Sorted Food & have been enjoying Natasha Elle’s vlogs. I’ve started reading ‘The Name of the Wind’ by Patrick Rothfuss but can’t decide how I feel about it yet. It’s been a long time since I read a new fantasy series.
Ooh and a quick follow up to my (second) last post! I’ve worked out how to channel my ‘lifestyle envy’… it has inspired a brand new sticker sheet that I am having a blast creating, so watch this space!
Talk soon!
